We looked at the questions of the interviews of only the dutch generations, since the Indian students didnt have sufficient questions in the interview. We made a clear overview of the important question wiht the answers from the dutch generations. At first you read out main goal:
Do students have to work harder to be successful at school nowadays than at the time your grandparents/parents were teenagers?
Interview 1, grandparent: ''I think that more stuff are asked for the students now, but they have google and internet. We had to go to the library if we wanted to know something.''
Interview 2, parent: ''No, i also needed to study very hard.''
Interview 3, parent: ''No, today's teens have become more lazy and dependent on electrical appliances. Previously we had to look things up in books and so we had to learn harder. ''
Interview 4, parent: '' no I think we learned harder but the students now learn more with the use of internet and youtube. ''
Interview 5, parent: "I don't have a view of everyone, I don't know"
Interview 6, grandparent:No, I think students study at the same level. I do think that students now have a harder time ”
Interview 7, grandparent: “I don't want to say harder, but study differently. Because the possibilities of the students are now many times greater than when I was young. We did not have a calculator, that only came in 3rd grade. I had to do mental calculations, and sometimes you could even spend half an hour on 1 question. ”
Interview 8, grandparent: Yes they have more subjects then we had
As you can read the majority of the (grand)parents said that we dont need to work harder/more than they did.
