Comparing the interviews of the parents:
Similarities:
1. All parents think that the children nowadays are less healthy when compared with the children in the past.
2. Every parent thinks they ate healthy when they were younger and every parent bought their food from the local shops and/or market.
3. Every parent did get sports from their school.
Differences
1. The first difference we see is, the big difference in age. All the parents are the same generation, but it may seem like 2 generations because of the big difference in age (Melvin’s mother is 38 and Isabella’s father is 61).
Also it is important that we remember that Melvin’s mother is Chinese and lives in the Netherlands. The Netherlands is multicultural and that is also important, because the answers can differ in culture.
2. As we saw everybody ate very healthy so there is no difference but the diffence lies in the source of their food some parents grew their food themselves like Sanne’s mother grew tomatoes and Daniels father got his food from his grandfather he grew al sorts of food by himself. The rest of the food they got from the local butcher, greengrocer, bakery or just the local store. and melvins mother and isabellas father just did go to the local market/store if they needed any food.
3. All of the parents where very healthy, but not everyone did sports. Some of them loved to go cycling, play soccer, swim or just walked. Some did not do any sports, however everyone had something on school to keep them fit like swimming lessons, sport days walking running.
4. All parents agree that they lived healthier in their time and the kids now don’t sport too often, and don’t eat healthy. Some of them do think there are better options for healthier food, but some do not use that opportunity’s. On the other hand, some parents think the food isn’t better and everything is stuffed with chemicals and sugars.
Conclusion:
Our parents are more modern then the parents in india, but they are not really modern just a bit more and that also can be a source of different results. All of the parents do think they lived an healthier live than the people now cause now the food is more toxic/ it’s not biological cause people now kinda manipulate the growth of plants.

Comparing the interviews of the grandparents:
Similarities:
1. The grandparents agree that today's children live less healthy lives. This is mainly due to unhealthy foods such as candy and fast food. They also said that they did not have such unhealthy food in the past.
2. The grandparents used to buy their food in the local shops and they went to the fresh bakery and butcher, where they got their food. It was very healthy. Everyone was served fresh food and drink. This was due to the living conditions and because it was grown itself. You could also buy fresh vegetables.
3. The grandparents got gymnastics at school or played outside during the breaks. Furthermore, nothing was done by the schools and it was quite normal at the time.
Differences:
1. They foreigner was less free in what to do/say,
2. The dutch women were often housewife’s, whilst the foreigners aren’t.
3. With the foreigner money wasn’t very different. They all had the same amount whilst in the Netherlands that could differ.
Conclusion:
All the grandparents used to have local, much healthier food. Even though there were cultural differences, health always seemed to be one of the big priorities which is why they had healthy food and the ability to sport.

Comparing the interviews of the grandparents with the interviews of the parents:
Similarities:
1. The grandparents and parents both think that today’s children live unhealthier lives than children in the past.
2. The grandparents and parents, both ate healthy and got fresh food at home.
3. Everybody bought their food at the local shops/supermarkets and went to the bakery and butcher.
Differences:
1. In the interviews of the parents you can see that their parents both did have a job. If we compare this to the interviews of the grandparents, we can see that their mother was a housewife and took care of the children.
2. Some grandparents had less sport clubs/facilities then the parents had.
3. The school from the parents do more when compared to the schools from the grandparents.
Conclusion:
When looking at the data that has been gathered, it can concluded that the kids nowadays are less healthy then in the past. The parents all tell that the children nowadays stay more inside. For example because of gaming. Also all persons that were interviewed said that kids nowadays eat unhealthy. A factor for this is that the people have become more rich so they can buy more stuff that is tastier but unhealthy at the same time. Nowadays there are more facilities to sport and stay healthy then in the past. As last, we can see that male and female are more equal. They both have a job and they both take care of the children.

Our own opinions:
Melvin: I agree with the interviewees because if you look at statistics from for example overweight people. It has gone up when compared to the past. But I don’t think it is a too much of a problem that it becomes dangerous.
Isabella: If we had the statement that food was much healthier in the past, I would definitely agree with it. Purely because back then the environment was also much better and everything was biological. But, I must say that sports nowadays have improved. Back in the time, we weren’t developed enough to make sure the sports were, for instance, safe.
Sanne: I totally agree with the grandparents and parents. Todays’s children live unhealthier lives then in the past. I think that we developed us with the facilities of sports. Nowadays children game much more and that’s a shame because playing outside is so nice!
Daniël: I think that the (grand)parents lived an healthier live when they where young, because everybody did at least some sports and ate more healthy then we do now. We do have healthier food now, but we do not all eat that. If we do that and with all the technology nowadays we maybe can restore that and let the world become more healthy again. We already are busy with making the earth healthier, but we also can do that with ourselves and become even healthier than our grandparents.
